The DM5 Disc mower, with 5 discs and 2.05 m / 80” 3/4 working width has the peculiarity of two inner discs which turn to the same direction. This allows to obtain a narrower windrow which avoids the tractor running over the mowed grass. This mower fits the requirements of a medium sized farms. As an alternative, and with no changes to the machine structure needed, it is possible to mount optional rake wheels with a diameter of 60’’ (1.52m) and tines with a diameter of 0.3” (7.5 mm). Each wheel, regardless of the diameter, is equipped with 40 tines made of top-quality spring steel. A lever acting on a sprocket equipped with a locking mechanism enables the width of the swath to be adjusted easily and rapidly from about 3’ (0.91 m) to 6’ (1.8 m). Alternatively, this function can be performed by an optional hydraulic device enabling the adjustment of the swath directly from the tractor.

The heavy 3/16” material deck and deck supports provide the durability for many years of dependable service. The front of the Pulsar features a push bar that bends tall grasses and brush under the deck. Our unique drive spindle is supported by 2 bearings allowing us to couple the hydraulic motor directly onto the drive spindle, eliminating the need for a gearbox. When the terrain changes our unique float linkage allows the Pulsar to adjust. As the side skids slide over raised areas the angle of the Pulsar is adjusted preventing spearing. With safety in mind, an optional heavy ¼” front curtain chain is standard on the Pulsar to control unwanted debris from leaving the cutting area.

The KIRCHNER SWATH FLUFFER efficiently lifts and fluffs hay, grain, or other crops, allowing air to circulate underneath for faster drying or curing. This reduces the time between cutting, baling, and harvesting. With a 128-tooth reel turning at a slower RPM than the tires, the fluffer gently picks up, lifts, and releases the swath without causing damage to the crop. The fluffed swath can be shifted up to 18 inches to the left or right by angling the basket, placing it on drier ground for quicker drying. This adjustment can be made at speeds of up to 12 MPH for added efficiency. Reel speed is easily controlled via a flow control valve on the tractor. The 3-point operation allows the entire machine to be raised for transport or turning, while the pull hitch attachment enables operation with a drawbar tractor or towing with a truck. Originally designed to fluff rained-on swaths, KIRCHNER SWATH FLUFFERS have become essential in many haying and harvesting operations, offering faster and superior results. Additionally, chain-driven, ground-drive swath fluffers are available for operations with trucks or tractors lacking hydraulic systems, although they do not offer swath-shifting capabilities.

During working the carrier for road transport is hydraulically raised over the machine. For road transport the carrier is lowered and at the same time the outer rotors are raised to reduce the overall width and keep the unit lifted from the ground of 4”. Furthermore, the stability of the machine during working is ensured by tandem axles with balloon tires fitted underneath the center rotors. Thus, the stress is evenly distributed and the tedder follows the undulations of the ground.
